CPKtec Research Labs develop the theory behind the world's most advanced cryptographic technology. CPKtec intellectual property covers a wide range of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms. These pages give access to some of this research.

Addition chains

The theory of addition chains is related to the theory of fast exponentiation and to the optimisation of asymmetric (public key) algorithms. CPKtec's research into addition chains is part of a programme of research to give a better understanding of the relationship between memory usage and performance for cryptographic algorithms. For an introduction to addition chains with restricted memory usage, download the white paper on "Addition Chains with a bounded number of registers".
